Philosophy
Movie posters were once created through lithographic printing, layer by layer. Black ink came last. It was the final pass, the layer that brought contrast, definition, and legibility to everything beneath it.We named ourselves after that moment.
We believe great film marketing works the same way. A story can be beautifully made, but without the right framing, design, and communication, it risks going unseen. Our role is to bring clarity to the work — shaping posters, trailers, campaigns, and moments that help films find their audience

Black Ink is a boutique film marketing agency working with independent filmmakers, production companies, distributors and festivals worldwide. We take on a small number of projects each year — by choice.
The name comes from lithographic printing, where black ink is always the final layer — the pass that gives the image definition and makes it readable. That's the role we play: your film exists, and we make it legible to the world.
Our specialisms are the films that mainstream agencies don't always understand: indie and arthouse features, horror and genre cinema, documentary, and international work finding new audiences.
